PILATES & YOGA

Everything you need to know before your first class.

Pilates & Yoga Classes

I’m not flexible — can I still do Yoga or Pilates?

Absolutely.

Flexibility is not a requirement for joining a Yoga or Pilates class.

Yoga and Pilates are practices that help you develop strength, mobility, balance, and body awareness over time.

You do not need to arrive flexible — you simply need to arrive.

Do I need Pilates or Yoga experience?

No. All levels are welcome at The Whole System Studio.

Whether you are completely new to Pilates or have been practising for years, classes are designed to meet you where you are.

You will be guided through movements with options and modifications, allowing you to work at a level that feels appropriate for your body.

What should I bring to class?

Please bring:

  • A yoga/pilates mat

  • Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely

  • Water & Blanket

  • Any props or equipment requested for your specific class.

Most importantly, bring yourself exactly as you are.

What can I expect from my first class?

Your first class is an opportunity to explore movement, connect with your body and become familiar with the practice.

You do not need to be fit, flexible or experienced to begin.

You will be guided throughout the session, and modifications will be offered so you can move safely and confidently.

Can I join if I have an injury or health condition?

Many people attend classes while managing injuries, physical limitations, or health considerations.

Please let Sharon know before class about any injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, or concerns so appropriate modifications can be offered.

Always listen to your own body and work within your own comfort level.

If you are unsure whether a class is suitable for you, please seek advice from your healthcare professional.

What if I miss a class?

Courses are booked as a block to reserve your place.

If you miss a class, it is not usually possible to offer refunds or replacement sessions.

However, please contact Sharon if something unexpected happens and she will always try to support where possible.
